Sneak Preview to Jonathan Little Secrets 2

By Jonathan Little, July 7, 2010 1:22 pm

The WSOP has been quite a ride so far… I cashed a few times and came close to winning my first bracelet in the $1,500 limit hold’em shootout (came in 3rd).

I’m disappointed that I couldn’t take it down, but happy with my play. I’m looking forward to playing in the Main Event on day 1d.

A lot of people have been asking for more in-depth training videos on multitable tournaments, so that’s exactly what I’ve been working on…

Jonathan Little Secrets 2 is in the works and will focus exclusively on multitable tournaments.

JLS2 will be coming out later this month, but for those of you who can’t wait, here’s a sneak preview so you can see first hand what it’s like to play in the late stages of a multitable tournament:

Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

That’s pretty good stuff Jonathan, as usual, but it really doesn’t help me a lot as I am almost never still in the tournament at this stage. What I need is to learn how to get late in a tournament…Thanks

  3. Thanks for the email Jonathan and the heads up, good work on the new video, looking forward to seeing JLS2 when it comes out!

Awesome video! Very informative. Learning how to read opponents hands based on betting patterns quickly is something I need to work on and your videos help me alot. Thanks

  5. Frank says:

No matter what video I watch the volume is too low(yes I turn yours to 100%), my mixer and volume control are both on high and everything else I need to turn down or it is just right.

  9. MC says:

Thought the video held better info then your others,I think the only play u have at the end of the video is 1/3 pot(WAS UNABLE TO SEE YOUR PLAY),it looks like u want a call, and still gives you some fold equity, thanks for putting out a better product then u had prior.

Great video; from the way he has played, I think he has a low or medium flush and if he has a medium flush he is trying to induce a bluff… but what do I know. Can’t wait until the 17th.
Good luck in the main event.

  11. Sarah says:

I enjoy the logic behind your comments!
Many times the right strategy will not work because of bad luck but giving the reasoning of your decisions is great !

Gotta represent the Ac here as I don’t think he has a strong, or any, flush. Looking forward to the 17th for the answer. Good video, as always. Good Luck in your remaining events at the WSOP!

    Hi Jonathan,

First off let me say that I love your videos and have seen my play increase considerably since investing in your tools.

I have one issue, and it is a small one but one I seek clarification. On your video of the blue shark optics freeroll there is one hand in the second installment (around 18 minutes) with call2bluffu having 3-3. You come to the conclusion that this is a bad play by call2bluffu.

In my opinion the limp from fxdwg means that his range is narrowed a lot further than you speculate. I think you have been too result orientated in developing the range. We could safely assume that fxdwg has a large number of suited connectors as well as hands like J8 q8 k8 and others that you specified. In my opinion 1010 99 and 88 are extremely unlikely in this scenario as you would rarely see a player limp in with 10 bbs with a pocket pair. It is also unlikely that random hands with a 9 would limp too, e.g. 89 unless suited.

It is just a small point but on my calculations using a much more suitable range call2bluffu will be ahead 40% of the time making the shove with 3,3 profitable.

    I am hoping you respond.

    Thanks.
